The attachment device of the cord kit is screwed to the end of the liner. The cord goes through the bottom of the socket and is held by a fixing system outside the socket. Cord traction makes the stump stretch, so it can be introduced into the socket more easily.
This kit is mainly appropriate for trans-femoral amputees, but can be offered to trans-tibial amputees whose stump is too fleshy in its distal part. As action is generated by a manual traction on the cord instead of pressure on the stump, this kit provides an perfect solution for patients who are not satisfied with a locking kit with pin.
